Bloke on BBC site who reviews films is giving up so he done a list of his top 10 films over the past 10 years... couple not seen...

Good Vibrations... true story set in 1970's Belfast where a local DJ decides to open up a record shop in the middle of bomb alley... united both Protty's and Catholics in teh love of music... one of the pioneers of the Punk Movement in Belfast... reminded me of a better Commitments film... great fun.

The Babadook.... Aussie horror film.. I'll be honest pretty unnerving in parts and the 2 lead characters (Mum and Son) are absolute top notch... one of the best horrors seen in a long time...

Both worth a butchers' if nothing else is on...

Re: 2018 Movies
Aquaman is enormous fun. Momoa plays him as a huge, big-hearted, slightly dim-witted lunk. Lots of spectacle and lots of lol moments in a movie that doesn't take itself or its leading character too seriously, while avoiding the trap of making him an actual idiot. And Nicole Kidman is still ridiculously fit.

The serious critics will hate it. Audiences will love it.

Just saw Mortal Engines. Can't decide if I thought it was shit or good, but I lean towards shit. The whole thing is a stupid idea that is done well.

Finally got round to seeing “Bohemian Rapsody” last night, great film very entertaining. I suppose having Mike Myers as the boss of EMI Records in it, it was inevitable there would be a reference to Wayne’s World “No one will be banging their heads in the car to Bohemian Rapsody”

I enjoyed it. I hadn't seen any of the others nor read the books.

Got mixed reviews but enjoyed the books and the first film (not the sub-titled ones) so going to give it a whirl this weekend.

Thought a star is born was fantastic. Cooper proving what an accomplished musician he is as well as director and Lady Ga Ga showing what a good actress she is.

Saw Kingsman 2 the other night. Not sure if it was from this year, but I just found out about it.
It's kind of fun, but the main character grates on me.
The best thing was Elton John's revealing a talent for comedy that I never suspected. It's worth seeing if just for that.
